Carlisle Healthcare South Hub is a state-of-the-art medical centre with sustainability and longevity at the forefront of the project. This flagship project is the most efficient primary care centre in the UK, achieving BREEAM Outstanding and an A+ EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) making the Carlisle Healthcare South Hub operational Net Zero Carbon.
The solar panel scheme powers the entire building with renewable energy and the development includes a host of innovative technologies to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. The bespoke internal design in waiting areas creates a relaxed and non-clinical environment for patients.

Community
Through local community involvement it is our aim that the building becomes part of the community, a building for Carlisle residents to be proud of. To facilitate this, UHD has worked closely with a number of local community groups throughout Carlisle on landscaping projects to give a sense of ownership to the individuals who will be utilising the building.
